Chris Vallance - KS4 and 5 Manager
I have worked at William Bradford for the past three years and it has been a real pleasure. Prior to my appointment I did my ITT placement at the college. I was appointed as an NQT in September 2006 and was appointed temporarily to a Leading Learning Initiative which involved leading INSET and coaching colleagues in the use of dialogic learning. In September 2008 I achieved a permanent promoted post in charge of Citizenship and I have recently been appointed as KS4 Leader with effect from the start of the new term.
The college has given me the opportunity to develop my teaching in the direction I wanted to. It offers a variety of career progression options and these have allowed me to develop responsibility quickly and effectively.
I have very few social or geographical ties to the area but it is the great atmosphere of the college, including its excellent staff and student bodies that make it such an enjoyable place to work.
