Thank you for your interest in our school.

Westminster CofE Primary School opened as a new Fresh Start school in September 2005 with the aim of establishing a good school in the heart of Bradford.  In February 2008 we had our first OFSTED inspection and all the hard work, dedication and enthusiasm of our children, staff and governors was rewarded with an inspection report that said “Westminster CofE Primary School is a good school with an inclusive ethos”.

We now aim to develop the school further by creating a learning experience which challenges our children to achieve their very best through broadening their experience and inspiring their enthusiasm and interest.  We want to achieve this in a context where children enjoy coming to school, feel safe and cared for and are excited by all that they experience and learn.

One of the greatest strengths of our school lies in the high quality of our staff at all levels. Teachers, support assistants, administration, ancillary and manual staff work together in partnership with the leadership of the school to achieve the very best for a wonderful group of children who enjoy learning and coming into class each day.  Staff work hard and give a great deal of time and energy to make this a good school.  In return the school provides a supportive working environment in which team work is valued, individuals are respected and listened to and professional development is promoted.

Our children are drawn from a mixed cultural background.  70% are Pakistani Muslim, 20% are white British and a small number are Afro Caribbean, Eastern European or Hindu or Sikh.  Our children live in an area which is far from being privileged but they enjoy school, are exciting by learning and are a joy to work with.
