Deputy Director of Finance
Exeter, Devon
c£50k + Car (Subject to Agenda for Change)
You will have overall responsibility for the production of financial management and information for the Trust. You will manage the production of business cases, plans and ad hoc work as well as the regular costings and analysis required by Trust Executives. You will also oversee the audit function and contribute to the Trust's financial strategy. Responsible for the management and development of a finance department of twenty five people.
The post holder will be:
- Responsible for the production of all Board and Management financial reports
- Responsible for all aspects of contract pricing and costing systems.
- Develop and manage initiatives within information and decision support.
- Deputise for and support the Director of Finance in all aspects of work including funding negotiations and contractual discussions.
- Organise the production of regular and ad hoc costings and other financial and statistical analysis, as required by the Trust Executive and Senior Managers.
Candidate Specification:
You will be a CCAB Qualified Accountant preferably with an NHS background. You will have at least 5 years post qualifying experience from an NHS trust or from a medium to large Public Sector or Commercial organisation at a senior finance level. You will be a strong negotiator and communicator who can work well under pressure as part of a team or on your own initiative. You will be committed, enthusiastic and highly motivated and have a proven track record in staff motivation and management.
