The Shasonic Group is a long established high profile retailer specialising in computers, audio-visual, photography, and hi-fi systems. Shasonic currently trades through 26 outlets; 17 of them are Sony Centres, 5 of them are multi brand and 1 Panasonic Centre. Its newest additions are 3 Consumer Electronic departments in Selfridges. In the last five years, Shasonic has opened at least one new store every year. Two of its most recent successful launches are the Europe’s Largest Sony Centre Galleria and the first Samsung BOSE store in the West End.
The ‘Shasonic’ brand has had 26 years of successful retailing. In October 2008 the first ‘Shasonic Technologies’ store outside Tottenham Court Road was opened in Roebuck Retail Park, Stevenage. Amongst the Sony Centre dealer, Shasonic Group was the first dealer to take the Sony Centre concept to the retail parks away from its traditional high street and shopping centre locations. In December 2007 the first retail park Sony Centre was opened in Roebuck Retail Park, Stevenage.
Whilst remaining a family owned business conscious and respectful of traditional and family values, Shasonic thrives on modern management philosophy and ethics. It had been awarded London and South East Sony Centre of the year awards for three consecutive years. In March 2009 Shasonic was awarded the “Best Independent Samsung Dealer” out of the few hundred dealers.
It prides and thrives on the long term staff retention. Most of its Store Managers and particularly the Assistant Managers joined the company as Sales Assistant and have progressed through its development and succession plan.
