Job Title: Instrument Engineer
Location: South of France - Monaco
Salary: Depending on experience
The
purpose of this role is to:
- Analyze, determine and specify the Instrumentation and Control requirements and considerations applicable to the Company's products and proposals.
- Design efficient Instrument and Control systems, which can be realized safely and economically.
- Produce, organize and coordinate the production of Instrument and Control systems reports and specifications.
The person:
University degree in a relevant engineering discipline with at least 3 years experience in the oil and gas offshore industry.
Responsibilities:
- Design, and review designs of the Instrument and Control systems of the Company's products.
- Identify and write specifications for the Instrument and Control systems aspects applicable to the Company's products.
- Follow all SIs, Departmental Working Instructions and Drawing Office Notes relevant to the engineering of structures.
- Recommend and follow all quality assurance and safety factors/requirements applicable to the design of Instrument and Control systems
- Monitor and review internal drawings, specifications and documentation related to Instrument and Control systems designs and related matters.
- Lead the engineering work on a project through a group of Engineers/designers/draughtsmen.
- Liaise with classification societies and other regulatory bodies involved with the safety, integrity and legality of the Company's structures.
- Advise Engineering Project managers on the Instrument and Control systems aspects of project design.
- Answer queries arising from clients, contractors, site supervisors or internal Company departments on the Instrument and Control systems aspects of the Company's products.
