Commercial Manager

Salary: £37,996 - £45,596

Location: Headington, Oxford

With 1200 staff working across 100+ sites we are an expanding organisation with an exciting growth strategy to further increase the range of services and opportunities we provide to people with learning disabilities across the south of England.

The Role:

To support our growth plans we are seeking a commercially aware procurement professional for our social care arm, preferably from a local government or social care background. Some of the main responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating the production and delivery of tenders
  • Producing Pre Qualification questionnaires and bid documents
  • Developing detailed project plans, identifying key stakeholders and their requirements and bringing them together to agree bids and tenders
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the Ridgeway Partnership through the development of existing relationships and establishment of new ones via formal tenders or networking
  • Provide expertise in commercial skills and knowledge, particularly in market analysis and tendering in the social care sector as well as in the enhancement of business planning and instigation of joint venture work corporately.
The Person:

The successful individual will have:

  • Extensive knowledge of public sector procurement procedures, preferably from a local government or social care background
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Project management
  • Budget management
  • The ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Business development experience
  • A background in Learning Disabilities would be an advantage although it is not essential for this post.
This role will involve travel as required therefore a full driving licence is essential.
