Ridgeway Partnership (Oxfordshire Learning Disability NHS Trust) is a specialist organisation that provides a range of health and social care support services for people who have a learning disability, working in close partnership with their families, carers and other organisations.
In many parts of the country, people with learning disabilities are supported under the banner of mental health services. The Ridgeway Partnership is one of only two NHS trusts in England and Wales that provides both the health and social care support for people with learning disabilities.
Ridgeway Partnership currently supports around 3,500 people with the most complex health and social care needs across Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Swindon & Wiltshire.
Person centred services
Our expertise lies in supporting people to live the lives that they choose and addressing their personal support and health needs in a way that accommodates their wishes and aspirations.
Providing integrated tailored services
We offer comprehensive and fully integrated services delivered by two operational directorates:
Supporting people to live the life of their choice
The Supported Lifestyles Directorate supports people to live in their own homes as tenants through Supported Tenancies, to take respite breaks through Short Term Breaks and provides flexible 1-1 support through VISION. All the services can support people to spend time volunteering, working, worshipping, shopping, playing, cooking and dining...
Supporting people’s health care needs
The Trust supports people who not only have a learning disability, but have additional health care needs. The Specialist Health Services Directorate provides services both in the community through the Learning Disability Teams and within In-patient units for people who have mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour.
The majority of our services are commissioned by Primary Care Trusts and Local Authorities. Some of our services are bought directly by people via Direct Payments.
Working seamlessly across services
The two operational directorates work seamlessly together to offer services to people who may have complex health needs.
They may need some specialist support from one of the Learning Disability Teams, or need to spend some time in one of the Specialist Health Services In-Patient units.
