Household Inbound Sales Advisor

Department Household – Inbound Contact Centre
Starting Salary £12,505 up to £14,000 pa (pro rata for Part time)
plus bonus dependent upon performance against Target Measures.
Through Performance Reviews you will be able to progress to a Senior Sales Advisor position: £14,000 up to £17,000 pa
Induction Comprehensive 4 week training – Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm
(We are unable to honour holidays during the training period)
Hours of work You will be required to work 36.25 hours per week on a rota basis between 8am and 8pm Monday to Friday, and 8.00am to 4.00pm on Saturdays (approx. 1 in 2). OR 20 hours per week, 5 mornings on a rota between 8am-2pm including 1 in 2 Saturdays 8am-2pm for which a day off during the week will be given

Description:

In this role you will be dealing with incoming telephone calls from potential new customers requiring a quote on their Home Insurance policies (Buildings and Contents). You will need to demonstrate the ability to close sales, upgrade cover and cross-sell other policies which may of interest to the customer.

The primary role of this position is that of household sales, but you will be skilled across travel and customer services to ensure that you have a varied role and that the business maintains the flexibility to meet changing customer demands.

You will need to be self motivated to meet and exceed set hourly and daily targets, on the number of contacts taken per hour, quotes sent out to customers and direct policy sales achieved. It is essential that you are self confident and professional at all times and have the ambition to sell using your excellent rapport, objection handling and sales skills with our customers.

Your Team Manager will ensure that you are supported and developed through consistent high quality coaching and motivation to ensure you develop the required skills and competencies, and that targets are met or exceeded by identifying your strengths and development areas.

Target Measures (Key Performance Indicators):

Calls per hour 6
New Business Sales – immediate sales over the phone 30% of sales calls
Add-on sales 18% of all calls
Productivity 80%
Compliance/GISC regulations 10 calls are monitored and assessed at random over one month – 9 passed
