About OIC
Founded in September 2009, Oxford International College of Qingdao, is a private tutorial school in Shandong Province, China for girls and boys aged 15 to 18 years. The school is a campus of Oxford International College in Oxford, UK, set up in association with British Education Ltd. and KongYi Education Ltd. It is an authoritative international school, co-hosting 'Eton Summer Course' with Eton College.
By pioneering a new and distinct approach to education in China, OIC aim to develop and increase student's confidence, academic and leadership skills, as well as widen their cultural experience by delivering a first class British education at GCSE and A-level, and offering foreign exchange opportunities. The international management and teaching staff have extensive experience of the British education system, as well as Chinese culture and language so that every student will be developed towards reaching his or her potential and prepared for entry to world-class universities.
QDOIC is equipped with advanced teaching buildings, reading rooms, computer rooms, language labs, natatorium, Billiards room, gym and a theatre. Being an environmentally-friendly campus, it features landscaped gardening, a "Natural-wind" ventilation system and a fresh water source indoor swimming pool.
OIC aims to be the best schools group in China providing a full range of services for students including giving advice on the skills required for examinations and interviews, preparation prior to students leaving, how to adapt themselves to a different British or American lifestyle and culture, and helping them obtain appropriate visas. This process is enhanced via a one-to-one focus and via the Tutorial System. They also set up a 1-year pre A-Level preparatory course for students who can aim at choosing to either go abroad with excellent examination results upon graduation or continue to study the "A-Level" programme in China. Offering "SAT1" as well as the "A-Level" programme provides OIC students with an even wider level of international options for their university destinations.
