Central Functions
Northgate has a number of central functions that provide support and specialist expertise across the various divisions.
HR
The HR Department is committed to driving performance through it's people and supporting the delivery of Northgate's People Strategy, using a dedicated team of HR Business Partners, Specialist functions and Support Services.
Finance and Administration
The Finance and Admin department comprises of the following 5 functions:
Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for both Central and Divisional financial planning and analysis, Company Secretarial and our internal auditing .
Legal
The Commercial & Legal Team provide a number of services to the Business Divisions including:
- Contract management involving the support of bids, contract drafting, negotiation and post-signature activity (e.g. change control, dispute management, etc);
- Legal Compliance activity
- Supporting various corporate projects such as acquisitions & group re-structuring
- Ad hoc legal advice
Property
The Property Department are responsible for the setting and implementation of strategy across the property network for
- Health and Safety
- Facilities Management
- Planned refurbishments and physical building security.
The aim is to work with the Northgate businesses to deliver value by harmonising our service by the adoption of best practice and through identifying and securing group wide contract opportunities for the Group
Corporate Communications
Corporate Communications is responsible for the Group’s marketing and external communications including:
- Press and media relations
- Corporate Sponsorship
- Branding and Corporate Identity
In addition Corporate Communication also support the divisional marketing teams who are each responsible for the marketing for their business units
Procurement
Procurements aim is to work with the Northgate businesses and suppliers to deliver value through identifying and securing group wide contract opportunities for Northgate. Through continually focusing on reducing and consolidating the supply base, Northgate’s increased leverage in the marketplace will ensure that the opportunities to realise savings are maximised. As well as negotiating new agreements, the Group Procurement function will look to harmonise ordering processes to ensure easy access to services through the adoption of best practice online tools.
