
Managerial Accountability to: Managing Director - Provider Services
Salary: Dependent upon experience, in the region of £70,000 plus pension, lease car and relocation package where appropriate

The estates and facilities department is long established and well resourced. Your team comprises 5 departmental heads and 255 staff (159 WTE) and has an operating budget of £7.8million. Looking to the future, you will have a clear insight on how you can apply your leadership skills to invigorate your team’s performance. Internally you will ensure your team is highly visible within the organisation and clearly focused on delivering solutions for customers – whoever they may be.
Current NHS commissioning policy and strategy, linked to the drive to build world class commissioning organisations, is placing increased demands and challenges around ownership of the estates infrastructure. In this role, you will play a crucial role in influencing and determining what this will look like at a local level. This will require you to work very closely with the PCT to develop and implement plans and policies that ensure both the estates infrastructure and facilities management services deliver outstanding added value support that facilitates staff to provide high quality, cost effective patient care every time.
Reporting to the managing director, you will be a pivotal part of the senior leadership team and contribute to the strategic development of the business and its relationship with the commissioning organisation. You can shape and develop this role and so this is an ideal opportunity to gain invaluable leadership experience, which could advance your future career considerably.
In this role you will be the professional lead on all estates, facilities and related compliance responsibilities for Wiltshire Community Health Services (WCHS) and NHS Wiltshire. You will have a corporate board leadership role with WCHS. Patient Safety together with providing support to all staff so that they can provide high quality care, at the right time, every time for our patients and service users.
