Head of Financial Analysis & Projects

c£55,000 + Final Salary Pension + 35 Days Holiday + Additional Benefits

As a result of this expansion, we are now looking to recruit a Head of Financial Analysis & Projects, in this newly created role.

Reporting to the Vice Principal – Resources, you will liaise with the finance, operations, HR, bidding and business development teams to identify and maximise business opportunities for the Group. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high quality financial and commercial analysis in line business development initiatives to support and challenge the project decision-making process.
  • Financial appraisal and interrogation of new business tenders/investments to ensure new business opportunities are effectively aligned with Group Financial Objectives.
  • Identifying and costing potential financial risks for new business tenders, including extensive financial modelling.
  • Working closely with the trading divisions and their management teams you will provide strategic finance advice and guidance to support and challenge the bidding and tender process.
  • Taking ownership for the subsequent transition and integration of new business ventures into the Group infrastructure.
  • Production of high quality reporting for the Executive, including risk review and investment appraisal.

You will have wide range of strategic financial experience to date and demonstrate particular strength in supporting and identifying new business opportunities through merger, acquisition or new business ventures.  

You will have strong communication skills to be able to effectively challenge and influence strategic decision-making and investment decisions effectively, whilst translating complex financial issues into plain English.
