About
Manchester Academy is a purpose built, mixed 11 – 18 school, which opened its doors in 2003 as the very first ULT Academy in the North West.
It is due to its success that the same framework has been used to open three other Academies in Greater Manchester.
The Academy provides students with an excellent working environment, state-of-the-art facilities with a specialism in Business and Enterprise.
The Academy currently has a full intake in Year 7 and, as a whole, the school has approximately 850 students.

Exam Results:
Over the past four years we have seen a huge increase in our exam success. We are very proud of the work that has gone into making these improvements by both students and staff.
In the three core subjects of, Maths, English and Science, we have seen giant leaps in our results. This is down to the excellent learning environment that Manchester Academy provides both its staff and students.

Our Specialist Status: Business and Enterprise
Some of our students have been born with the enterprise gene!
We do not see enterprise as being about short-term employment but about equipping our students with the skills and understanding to work in roles that may not even exist yet!
We want to take our students out into the ‘real’ community where they can learn skills and use their own ideas to achieve success.
We want to embed an enterprising culture within our students which is based on the characteristics unique to their individual communities.
