Newly qualified vacancies
Every year, KPMG in Bermuda seeks newly-qualified Audit Seniors within our Insurance and our Investments & Banking practices, to commence in September. The firm employs more than 180 people from around the world. For many years, we have been relocating overseas professionals attracted by the superb climate, social and sporting life, and the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of local and international financial services clients.
KPMG's Financial Services Practices
Our client base includes Bermuda-based insurance, reinsurance and captive re/insurance companies, international banks and a variety of investment funds. Our clients range from relatively small businesses through to listed companies and subsidiaries of KPMG’s international clients.
Your role as Audit Senior will be to handle a portfolio of clients in one of our financial services practices (either Insurance or Investments & Banking), assuming responsibility of engagements from planning through to completion and acting as the primary point of contact for the client. You will receive initial training in KPMG’s audit methodology, U.S. GAAP and the local financial services industries, together with ongoing learning and development support.
Required Experience
We seek candidates who have the ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team. We look for highly motivated individuals who will enjoy the opportunities that Bermuda can offer professionally, culturally and socially, in a multinational business environment.
You will need to be exam-qualified (CA or ACA, preferably with first-time passes) when you apply, currently working as an in-charge or lead auditor, and have proven interpersonal skills. GAAP would be advantageous. A Big 4 or Top 10 background is ideal.
In return for a two-year commitment, we offer:
- Attractive base salary plus bonus
- Relocation and a work permit
- Full training in insurance/reinsurance or investments and banking
- A competitive compensation package
- Medical and dental insurance contributions
- Interest-free loans for transport and accommodation
- Tailored continuous professional development
- Performance-dependent promotion opportunities
