The Vacancies
IPA currently have immediate requirements for 2 Project/Research Analysts to join their team on a permanent basis in their Reading office As well as a requirement for the same role to be added within all of their offices globally.
They are seeking candidates that have a proven track record in analysing project feasibility in the upstream oil and gas market. The successful candidate will be required to carry out project control analysis using quantitative and statistical data to make an assessment on the likely success in achieving the deliverables of a proposed project.
The projects may be from 3-6 weeks long and candidates must be self-motivated and able to work on their own initiative. The project objectives will include extracting the data, qualitative analysis, reporting and presenting recommendations to the client, this will involve working to tight deadlines and under pressure and they are seeking a candidate that thrives on this.
There is likely to be up to 30% of your time spent travelling overseas on trips of usually 2-3 days, to a variety of locations inclusive of the Middle East, West Africa, Russia and Western Europe depending on the client and the project location.
It is essential that candidates can demonstrate good listening and communication skills as there will be a requirement to feedback on the analysis carried out which may involve challenging the original project proposal and subsequently will require individuals with the strength of character and experience in the delivery of recommendations for change.
