WELCOME...
Herefordshire Council came into existence in April 1998, taking over the responsibilities of a number of previous authorities - Leominster District Council, South Herefordshire District Council, Hereford City Council and Hereford-Worcester County Council. It also took over parts of Malvern Hills District Council.
As a Unitary authority the Council is responsible for a wide range of services that are hugely important to the people of the county. Herefordshire Council also works with partner organisations, regionally, county-wide and more locally, across the public, private and voluntary sectors so that we can jointly achieve the best possible outcomes for people who live and work within Herefordshire.
