Welcome to Hadley Learning Community

Welcome to the Hadley Learning Community! We are an all-through school from 5 – 16 years located in North Telford, Shropshire.

HLC opened as a brand new school in September 2006 and is a £70 million PFI project, built and run for us by Interserve. The campus is designed to deliver a superb educational experience to our students in a modern 21st Century building. HLC consists of a single circular design with a central hub, known as the forum, from which the teaching and community areas radiate as the spokes in a wheel. You can see fantastic images of our school by visiting our website at www.hadleylearningcommunity.org.uk.

HLC is unique in that we have many sectors of education and children's services located within our organisation. There is an Early Years Unit, which includes our own nursery and a private nursery, known as ABC, which has been graded as "outstanding" by Ofsted. There is a 420 place Primary Phase and a 1000 place Secondary Phase. Also co-located on our campus is The Bridge Special School, for students with complex learning needs, which was recently graded as "outstanding" by Ofsted. In addition, we have a Children's Centre which houses Sure Start and a range of multi-agency professionals who provide services for our young people and their families.

HLC also has a wide range of leisure facilities including a 25m indoor pool, fitness suite, theatre and dance studio as well as extensive outdoor pitches and an all-weather pitch. There is an extensive Library and Lifelong learning suites for use by all the community as well as a popular coffee shop!

We employ a large staff and we are committed to employing outstanding professionals who want to work in a very different educational setting. We invest in staff training and professional development and many staff have really developed their careers here whether as newly qualified teachers, middle managers or in senior leadership positions. Our commitment at HLC is to provide high quality teaching and learning for our students linked to an innovative and creative curriculum where students excel and develop into caring, thoughtful young adults with a real sense of responsibility for themselves

I do hope you will consider coming to work at HLC and we look forward to receiving your application.
