About Leicestershire

Situated in Leicester City Centre Fullhurst Community College is close to the M1 and M69 Motorway junction and easily accessible by public transport.

Leicester City Centre has recently undergone a £12m refurbishment scheme and now boasts the state of the art Curve Theatre, designed by world renowned architect Rafael Viñoly and the Highcross Shopping Centre which offers a mix of fashionable stores, stylish restaurants and true city centre living that has reinvented Leicester and changed the perception of the city.

The City is also home to the National Space Centre and hosts a Caribbean Carnival (the largest in the UK outside London), the largest Diwali celebrations outside of India and the largest comedy festival in the UK, Leicester Comedy Festival.

The Walkers Stadium is the City’s 32,000 all seater stadium acting as home to Leicester City Football Club and the more significant games of Leicester Tigers Rugby Football Club.

Outside of the City Centre Leicestershire is a beautiful County county where timeless villages really do exist and market towns actually live up to the name. Local traditions include Hallaton Bottle Kicking, where the saying "paint the town red" comes from, and the production of the famous Melton Mowbray Pork Pie and the Red Leicester Cheese.
