

Frankley Community High School is located to the south west of Birmingham, just off junction 4 of the M5 Motorway. Being on the outskirts of Birmingham it benefits from a more rural location. The Lickey Hills Country Park, a 524-acre area of countryside, lies very close to the school. It is an area rich in a variety of wildlife and offers an excellent place to escape the noise and traffic of the city. Leisure facilities at the park include an eighteen hole Golf course, bowls, tennis and a putting green. Bartley Green Reservoir is another local attraction and hosts sailing clubs and other water sports. Frankley is very easily accessible from the centre of Birmingham and it also lies within short driving distance of many areas of Worcestershire such as Redditch and Bromsgrove and also Black Country areas like Dudley and Halesowen.

Birmingham has also recently been called "the shopping capital of Europe" due to the recent completion of the Bullring shopping centre - a huge and architecturally innovative development that attracts shoppers from all over the country.

There are three universities and over 430 schools in the city. The city is situated right in the heart of the country - 80 minutes train journey from London, and 90 minutes from Manchester or Leeds.
