About Branksome School
Branksome School is in west of the Darlington overlooking
open fields and hills. The school is an 11-16 comprehensive
opened in 1963 and has 800 pupils and 82 teaching / support
/ admin staff.
Within the school are specialist rooms for Technology, Science,
ICT, Drama, Art / Ceramics, Music, and learning resources
and a health and fitness room. School also has specialist
bases for education support and learning support. The school
is bidding for the school sports status.
Classes are very well equipped. There are PCs in every classroom,
and multi-media projectors will be fully installed by April.
There is lots of involvement with local primary schools, and
also great rapport with the local technological college.

They are getting a MUGA installed and built - Multi Use Games
