Welcome

Beeston Primary School serves an urban community on the south side of Leeds city centre. We have 450 pupils including a 38 place nursery.

I was appointed as Head in September 2007 following the retirement of the previous Head who had been in post for 20 years. She had been very influential in the school and community and built a school with real strengths. It has been my job to continue her work and develop it with the help of dedicated and talented staff.

One of the greatest strengths of our school lies in the high quality of our staff at all levels.  Teachers, support assistants, administration, ancillary and manual staff work together in partnership with the leadership of the school to achieve the very best for a wonderful group of children who enjoy learning and coming into class each day.  Staff work hard and give a great deal of time and energy to make this a good school.  In return the school provides a supportive working environment in which team work is valued, individuals are respected and listened to and professional development is promoted.

The school is a very happy place to work with strong support from Governors and the community.

We are looking for highly skilled, IT literate teachers and practitioners who are passionate and enthusiastic about children and teaching to compliment our team of hard working and committed staff . We wish to recruit colleagues who have the enthusiasm and commitment to further strengthening community links and who understand that the needs of the child always come first.

If you are not afraid of change and challenge and would like to be part of making Beeston Primary School “outstanding” we want to hear from you.
