Atkins is part of a joint venture, operating as Connect Plus and will maintain the M25 and surrounding road network in a 30 year contract with the highways agency. Members of the consortium have worked together on early DBFOs and are currently managing and operating the Highway Agency’s MAC contracts in Areas 2, 4, 6 and 11.The joint venture has also successfully delivered together on the M25 J12-15 widening, M25 spur stage 2, M1 6A-10 widening projects and other international projects.

Key works over the lifecycle of the project include widening of the M25 carriageways J16 – J23 and J27 – 30. A1(M) Hatfield tunnel refurbishment as well as management of the operations and maintenance of the asset over the 30 year contract lifecycle.
