I am so pleased you have shown an interest in this role, my role for more than 20 years!

I am privileged to belong to three teams; the Regional Leadership Team, the global Resources Team and to lead the regional Resources Team. HR in Afton Chemical EMEAI is a key function in helping to determine not only what we do as a Business but how we do it. The implementation is of course as important as the plan. We are a lean organisation so it is important we each know our roles and responsibilities but are also ready to contribute and support each other to ensure the achievement of the overall Regional and business goals.

Travel is an important part of the job, getting out to the various locations, as needed, including to our Corporate HQ in Richmond USA, to understand the challenges and to help progress the people and organisational issues. Supporting the different functions from Sales in a range of countries to Labour Relations in the manufacturing area, keeping our compensation and benefits competitive in our market but with strong financial control and Legal compliance, looking after the direction of IT support in the region and ensuring our facilities meet the needs of the business, are all part of the broad range of challenges in this role.
